Ephesians 4:32 is the 2nd of 26 Bible Verses to help your child learn one bible verse for each letter of the alphabet. For each verse in the ABC Bible Verse series, there is a free printable and YouTube video to help you and your child learn 26 bible verses!

Memorizing ABC Scriptures with your Child

How did your kids do memorizing our first Bible verse for the letter “A”?

Hopefully, it went well – 25 more to go! I recommend taking a video of them once they have it fully memorized. When they are young, they especially enjoy watching themselves and usually want you to send the video to Grandma.

We will have a series on this until we have gone through the whole alphabet, one letter per week. The whole index of verses that will be updated as we go can be found here

My kids I usually practice the new verse multiple times each night – they are quick verses so it shouldn’t take long. Then to make sure we aren’t forgetting the ones we already learned, we review those at least two times a week.

Teaching Ephesians 4:32 to your Child

On to our “B” verse. Ephesians 4:32 states “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as Christ forgave you.

This verse allows lots of opportunities to teach your child compassion towards others. Perhaps spend some time this week performing acts of kindness towards others.

You can find 95 random acts of kindness ideas to do with your kids here, plus a free download to take with you and check off as you go.

The “song” this week is more of a cadence but with hand motions. Kids generally like doing hand motions so this should still excite them.

Basically, all that matters is that it gets your kids excited to memorize scripture and you will learn some along the way as well! If they come up with their own tune along the way, all the better!

TIP

If your kids resist a tune for a selected memory verse, encourage them to develop their own. Not only will this spark their creativity, but the process will help them remember the verse longer and look back on this time fondly.

That’s a great idea to do one a week just like they will learn it .
